What’s the best secure ways of transaction with an eBay seller?

I am planning of buying somethings worth $10,000 from an eBay seller. What’s the best secure way of transaction. He opted a way of paying to eBay team, then when I receive the products and confirm to eBay, they will pay him his amount.
