How do I find inventory for my ebay store or find a company that will drop-ship for me?

I am a small ebay seller and I want to find some more inventory for business without buying those pesky little ebay startup books that supposedly tell you where to find inventory…Anyone have any ideas on where I can get good inventory or find a place that will drop-ship for me as I sell the products on ebay?
