Can I claim items purchased on eBay as a medical expense on my taxes?

My Wife and I purchsed some crib wedges and slings to eleviate my babies Acid reflux during the night. We purchsed these items on eBay. Is it possible to claim these on our taxes under medical expenses.

You should be able to. As long as you have the transaction recorded for your own records.

I’m not a tax specialist, but unless these items were prescribed by your doctor, I don’t think you can deduct them.

Did you read the instructions for what’s allowed as a medical deduction? I’d be amazed if this question wasn’t answered in there.

I am Tax expert. You can deduct cost of your medicine only if it was prescribed by your doctor.

If the doctor said they were necessary and told you to get them, then you should be able to deduct them – where you bought them doesn’t matter.
