A pickup truck is also a light motor vehicle except that it is designed to haul cargo. The cargo area at the rear with an open-top forms the bed for the cargo. It is separated from the cab. Though its main function is to haul heavy loads, it can also be used for performing other functions. Pickup trucks are used to move construction materials and other goods. It is also used to haul luggage when one is shifting office or home. The truck is powerful enough to do this task. The side of the cargo area is usually walled on its two sides with metal sheets that are strong and sturdy enough to hold the goods inside. The rear side is fitted with a metal gate which can be opened and closed firmly. This is for the purpose of loading and unloading.
